Known Bugs in Defender's Quest DX console version -- patch incoming soon

There are a few known confirmed bugs in both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions of Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten DX.

First is the issue of performance. We didn't come across anything significant in testing, but I'm hearing some reports that after prolonged play there is degraded performance. This smells exactly like a memory leak to me, and we will do our best to track down the issue and solve it in a patch as soon as possible. Meanwhile, you can probably solve intermittent performance issues simply by restarting the game.

Second is the issue of crashes. We've solved several of these locally and are putting out a patch as we speak, though it may take time to work through Microsoft and Sony's pipelines.

Finally, the last one is pretty rare and specific, and technically involves some minor spoilers. We have a solid reproduction case, are working on a patch, and should have something out as soon as Sony and Microsoft's pipelines will allow. Scroll down for ever so slightly spoiler-y details.

Azra starts the game with a book equipped called "The Book of Secrets." There is a particular location on the southwest quadrant of the map that is invisible unless this book is equipped. If you go there, you will find a "strange monument." If you interact with it in such a way as to make the central heart glow (it's kind of a secret, but there's guides online), and then move the cursor to the heart and select the heart, the game will freeze/crash as the screen transitions.

The crash will not affect any of your progress, if you restart the game everything will be fine. There are several rare items that this bug prevents you from acquiring, but they're purely optional.

It shouldn't be a huge surprise why something so obscure slipped through certification and our own bug testing. Nevertheless, we're really sorry about this, and we're gonna fix this. We'll have a patch out soon, thanks very much for your patience.
